This past year has been an incredible chapter for Scotia Kelp Products—marked by growth, innovation, and heartfelt recognition. As we reflect on the journey, we’re filled with deep gratitude for the organizations and partners who have supported our mission and helped us provide sustainable choices for our community. This blog is a sincere thank-you to those who have played an essential role in our continued success.
First, many thanks and much appreciation go to Eastern College. We were truly honoured to be recognized as their Employer of the Year for 2024 —a meaningful reflection of the strong and evolving relationship we’ve built over the years. Eastern College has consistently been a source of passionate, skilled individuals who bring energy and dedication to our team. Their continued support has been a key part of our journey, and we’re grateful for their belief in what we do.
A sincere thank you also goes to the Black Business Initiative (BBI). BBI has been a steady and empowering presence in our growth, offering valuable guidance, essential resources, and opportunities to connect within a broader network of Black entrepreneurs and leaders. Their dedication to supporting Black-owned businesses across Nova Scotia and beyond is deeply inspiring, and we’re proud to be part of the thriving community they continue to cultivate.
We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. We were excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary during their “ Pints and Pointers ” event held at the iconic Alexander Keith’s Brewery. Celebrating this milestone alongside respected members of Halifax’s business community was the highlight of our day, and we thank you for the recognition. The Chamber continues to offer an important platform for connection, collaboration, and growth, and we’re thankful for their role in strengthening the local business landscape.
To Team Work, thank you for your thoughtful collaboration and support over the years. Your expertise has helped streamline our operations and improve overall efficiency, allowing us to focus more fully on what we do best—creating sustainable kelp-based products. We truly value the role you play in helping entrepreneurs with disabilities build a solid foundation.
To Tribe, your creative insight and strategic approach have been essential in helping us connect with our community in more meaningful ways. Your work has helped to amplify our business and brought new energy to how we share our story. We deeply appreciate your unwavered support.
And to The Ecology Action Centre(EAC), for all that you do, we are forever grateful. The meaningful work you do and the support you offer help pave the way for local businesses addressing critical environmental issues.
